Juggling language in Taipei

The Chien Tan Overseas Youth Activity Center is well named. Opposite this Grand Hotel, it is buzzing with young people attending all manner of events. I’m here for the China Facilitation Conference. As yet I’ve had little chance to experience Taipei City. Yesterday I ran a one-day pre-conference workshop on Facilitating in the Moment. We focused on those occasions when your well-thought through plan is no longer adequate, and the only resources you can call on are yourself and the participants. And today I’m offering a two-hour workshop on facilitator gifts from improv theatre. Facilitating via a translator is an interesting experience, and highlights just how much can be gleaned from body language.
